So Excited!

My blog and Facebook page have been seriously neglected this year, but I have a good excuse. I've been very busy working on my Professional Photographer Certification which required me to accumulate enough experience and education to pass a technical written exam as well as a rigorous process of portfolio review conducted by a panel of some of the most accomplished photographers in the industry. The Professional Photographic Certification Commission has awarded certification to fewer than 2,000 photographers worldwide. I have always loved photography, but felt that it was important to demonstrate proficient technical knowledge and creativity. As of today, I have achieved that goal and been awarded the designation of Certified Professional Photographer.

I am so fortunate to be part of a community of professionals who are unbelievably generous in sharing their time and talent to provide continuing education and support to other photographers...so much of what I have learned along the way has been the result of other photographers sharing their knowledge with me.

Well, now I can take a deep breath and get ready for a busy fall schedule...I have some really fun sessions to look forward to! I'm also going to try to catch up on my blogging over the next few days, so check back for some special sales and some very cute photos!
