Feeling Blessed...

Recently, I had the honor of meeting this wonderful family through my work with The Littlest Heroes Project. The project is a non-profit organization made up of photographers that provide complimetary photo sessions to our littlest heroes - children or young people (under the age of 21) who have serious illnesses or life altering conditions. Our mission is to provide the families with the simple pleasure of taking time out to have their family photographed, and to share their inspirational stories and photographs with the world. I am blessed to be involved with this organization and to be entrusted with this important work. If you know a family who may benefit from the services provided by The Littlest Heroes Project, applications are available through http://littlestheroesproject.org/

Here is 'M', a high school student with Down Syndrome, who loves to playing (and coaching) basketball, and going for long walks with his family. His sisters and parents are just lovely...I really enjoyed our time together.

Little Boys (really!)

It's been all about the girls lately, with First Communion season upon us, so I thought it was time to give the boys some attention...

These little guys came to me all ready to play, and looking quite handsome in their spring outfits:

Princess for a Day

I think that says it all, don't you? Here is Miss S; I'll let the photos speak for themselves:

Lovely

More sneak peeks from First Communion season...isn't Miss C looking pretty today?

Girls, girls, girls...

If you have been following this blog recently, you know that it is most definitely First Communion season! Seemingly all at once, a whirlwind of white dresses and pretty little girls come through the studio, and yet each girl has her own unique style and personality which makes her photographs special. Here are a few of Miss 'O' and her older sister, 'J'.

Heirlooms

Whenever possible, I like to include meaningful items in my portraits, whether it be a special blanket for an infant session or, in this case, a beautiful set of rosary beads and a prayer book for a First Communion portrait.

Here are a few from my recent session with lovely Miss 'K' in her beautiful outfit:

Cliche, but True

Well, the old cliches are certainly true:

I first met 'J' when she was barely walking..."Time flies" and "It seems like just yesterday she was a baby." Here she is having just made her First Communion and "getting more beautiful by the day"...
